What is Captive Crown?
Captive Crown is an epic fantasy novella (about 100 pages) about a princess who’s father is going senile while her people face a war with invaders.
Although concerned for her people, she is young and afraid to take the throne. So, she hides her father’s condition from the court. But then she is kidnapped and learns of an entirely new threat, sure to destroy the kingdom.
Can she escape her ruthless kidnappers so she can return to her father and become the queen her people need?

Toward the end of 2023, I submitted what was then Chapter 1 (now Chapter 2) to a small contest, and it won first place for speculative fiction!

What’s Involved?
At a minimum, each member of the launch team will:
- Buy the book
- Read the book
- Write a review
The more you put into it, the more you get out of it. So team members might also:
- Tell their friends
- Post on social media
- Arrange an interview for the author
- Ask their local library to order a copy
- Write a blog post
- Give copies as gifts
- Post a flyer on a public bulletin board
- Carry out their own ideas
This is a launch team, so we’ll work together. We’ll have some online meetings to:
- Brainstorm ideas
- See how things are going
- Encourage each other
- Have some fun
The launch team will run for a month or two before the book releases and then another month after release.
